WTI Class in Session
SAN DIEGO -- The Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) proudly welcomes the next cohort of 44 future warfare tactics instructors (WTI). The new class of WTI candidates stem from three individual surface warfare areas: 18 in integrated air and missile defense; 17 in anti-submarine / anti-surface, and 7 amphibious warfare . All candidates successfully completed SMWDC's two-week core (baseline) course of instruction. The 44 candidates are now enrolled in their mission-specific WTI curricula in Dahlgren, Virginia; Little Creek, Virginia and San Diego -- and graduate spring 2017. WTI courses commence biannually across all three disciplines; interested surface warfare officers (SWO) can visit http://www.public.navy.mil/surfor/nsmwdc/Pages/Home.aspx for more details on the application and selection process.
