Lieutenant Commander Darjany is native of Marcy, New York. He obtained his commission in May 2007 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps Program after graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing.

Afloat, LCDR Darjany completed his Division Officer tours aboard MCM Crew Conflict as Electrical / Auxiliaries Officer as well as First Lieutenant. His 2nd Division Officer Tour was as Training Officer onboard USS Sampson (DDG 102). He completed his Department Head Tour, as part of the Plans and Tactics Officer pilot program, onboard USS Roosevelt (DDG 80).

Ashore LCDR Darjany worked as an instructor in the Seamanship and Navigation department at the United States Naval Academy.

LCDR Darjany assumed Command of USS WARRIOR in AUG 19.

His personal achievements include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards)
