LCDR Benjamin C. Pearlswig
Commanding Officer

Lieutenant Commander Pearlswig is native of Turner, Oregon. He obtained his commission in September 2005 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps Program after graduating from Oregon State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration. LCDR Pearlswig also obtained his Master’s Degree in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2011.

Afloat, LCDR Pearlswig completed his Division Officer tours aboard USS COLE (DDG 67) as the Electronic Warfare Officer and Amphibious Squadron Four as the Assistant Operations Officer. He completed his Department Head Tours onboard USS JOHN S. McCAIN (DDG 56) as the Weapons Officer, Senior Watch Officer, and Combat Systems Officer.

Ashore LCDR Pearlswig worked as the Administrative Assistant for the Senior Officer Ship Material Readiness Course, SWOS N76 at the Surface Warfare Officer's School (SWOS) in Newport, RI.

In November 2015, LCDR Pearlswig was selected for Early Command. He reported to USS WARRIOR in October 2016 as the Executive Officer. LCDR Pearlswig assumed Command of USS WARRIOR in February 2018.

His personal achievements include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards), the Humanitarian Service Medal, and the Korean Defense Service Medal, and various unit and service awards.
