USS Comstock takes on supplies
U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (March 11, 2017) Boatswainâs Mate 2nd Class Quincy OâBryant, from Augusta, Ga., signals to an AS-332 Super Puma assigned to the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Amelia Earhart (T-AKE 6) as it delivers supplies during a vertical replenishment with the amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45). Comstock is deployed as part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
