Command Master Chief (July 2013 - December 2015)

Master Chief Anthony enlisted in the Navy in 1985 and completed basic training and Quartermaster “A” School at Orlando, FL. Following graduation, he reported to USS DAHLGREN (DDG 43) in Norfolk, VA. After his initial sea tour, he transferred to Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, then returned to the Tidewater area reporting aboard USS SAN JACINTO (CG 56). Following this tour, he went to the Naval Amphibious School, Little Creek, VA.

His next tour took him to USS ELLIOT (DD 967), homeported in San Diego, CA, after which he reported to Submarine Squadron ELEVEN, where he was assigned as Craftmaster of the Torpedo Weapons Retriever SWAMP FOX (TWR 821). Master Chief Anthony served at Afloat Training Group Pacific, San Diego then returned to sea in USS TARAWA (LHA 1). He entered the Command Master Chief program in 2007 and was assigned to Amphibious Construction Battalion ONE, and Naval Beach Group ONE in Coronado, CA, then followed these tours with orders to USS COMSTOCK (LSD 45).

Command Master Chief Anthony is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 132, completed the CMC course at Newport, RI, and is qualified as an Enlisted Surface Warfare, Seabee Combat Warfare, and Aviation Warfare Specialist. His awards include various personal, unit, and campaign awards.
