NORTH ARABIAN SEA (Oct. 2, 2010) - Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 2nd Class Victor Estevez directs an a AV-8B Harrier, assigned to Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 311 "Tomcats," during a vertical landing on the flight deck of amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5) marking its last close air support mission of the harrier aircraft in Operation Enduring Freedom. Harriers are capable of vertical and/or short take-off and landing. Peleliu is the command ship of Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.  (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Edwardo Proaño/Released)
