Alnesugi Rivera Febres
Mineman First Class Petty Officer (Surface Warfare)

Mineman First Class Petty Officer Alnesugi Rivera Febres is originally from Stuttgart, Germany. He graduated from Fajardo Community Private School, Fajardo, Puerto Rico in 1997. He enlisted in the United States Navy in November 2006, followed by Mineman “A” School located in Ingleside, Texas.

Febres was assigned to his first duty station at Mobile Mine Assembly Unit Eleven in Charleston, S.C. from 2007 to 2009. He worked as part of the magazine crew, where his duties entailed bringing live and exercise ammunitions to and from the command. His next assignment was aboard Littoral Combat Ship/Mine Countermeasures Detachment One in San Diego, Calif. from 2009-2013, where he was assigned as a Mission Package Operator and search and rescue swimmer. He also participated in a Rim of the Pacific exercise. In 2013, Febres checked aboard Littoral Combat Ship Squadron One in San Diego, Calif., were he is currently assigned as the Mission Package Liaison and command fitness leader.

Personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4), Good Conduct Medal (2), Flag Letter of Commendation and various service and campaign awards.

Febres also holds an Associate’s Degree in Math and Science from Coastline Community College. His hobbies consist of scuba diving, rock climbing, reading and working out.
