A native of Lutcher, Louisiana, Commander Landry enlisted in the Navy in December 1988 and commissioned in 2000 as a graduate of Oregon State University. Landry has served in a variety of enlisted and officer sea and shore assignments.

His enlisted sea assignments included USS George Washington (CVN 73); USS Shenandoah (AD 44); and USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). As a Machinist Mate First Class (Nuclear), Landry was accepted into the Navy’s Enlisted Commissioning Program. His commissioned sea assignments include combat information center officer on USS Jarrett (FFG 33); auxiliaries and repair division officer on USS Nimitz (CVN 68); operations officer on USS Vandergrift (FFG 48); operations officer for Amphibious Squadron One (CPR 1); and executive officer for USS Montgomery (LCS 8) Gold.

His shore assignments include service as force enlisted personnel officer for Commander

Naval Surface Forces, Pacific Fleet (CNSP); flag secretary for Commander, Naval Surface Forces; and training officer for Littoral Combat Ship Squadron ONE (COMLCSRON ONE).

His current assignment is commanding officer, USS Montgomery (LCS 8) Gold Crew.

Landry’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
