CDR Nathan Fugate 
Executive Officer (July 2014 - December 2015) 

A native of Wilmington, Ohio, CDR Nathan Fugate graduated from The Ohio State University in 1997 and was commissioned through Officer Candidate School in 1999.
CDR Fugate’s previous assignments at sea include: USS TORTUGA (LSD 46) Auxiliaries Officer and Main Division Officer, USS GUARDIAN (MCM 5) Operations Officer, USS CHAFEE (DDG 90) Operations Officer, and USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19) Operations Officer.
Following his Department Head tours, CDR Fugate attended United States Army Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kan., where he completed Joint Professional Military Education Phase One and earned a Master of Arts in International Relations from Webster University. His most recent assignment was Flag Secretary to Commander, Carrier Strike Group TWO.
His personal decorations include: the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various other unit and campaign awards.
