SAN DIEGO (Dec. 4, 2012) The Oliver-Hazard Perry Class frigate USS Curts (FFG 38) passes the San Diego, Calif. skyline as it returns to homeport Naval Base San Diego, Dec. 4.  Curts completed its final deployment as part of Operation Martillo in the 4th Fleet Area of Responsibility and is scheduled to conduct a decommissioning ceremony, Jan. 25, 2013.  (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class (SW/AW) Rosalie Garcia/ Released)
USS Curts returns following Final deployment
SAN DIEGO - The Oliver Hazard Perry Class frigate, USS Curts (FFG 38) is scheduled to return to Naval Base San Diego Dec. 3, concluding its final deployment prior to decommissioning.

Curts performed a variety of tasks during its successful "Combating Transnational Organized Crime" deployment as part of Operation Martillo in the 4th Fleet area of responsibility. Operations included interdiction operations resulting in the apprehension of three alleged drug-traffickers. It also seized or disrupted nearly 1,000 kilograms of illicit narcotics with an estimated street value of $25 million.
