CDR Jeffrey L. Heames
Executive Officer (June 2013 - December 2014)

Hailing from Sierra Vista, Arizona, Commander Heames enlisted in 1991 and received his commission through the Seaman to Admiral program in 1996.

His at sea assignments include First Lieutenant in USS VALLEY FORGE (CG 50), Assistant Operations Officer in Destroyer Squadron Two-one (DESRON 21), Chief Engineer in USS HOWARD (DDG 83), and Combat Systems and Ballistic Missile Defense Officer in Destroyer Squadron Fifteen (DESRON 15).

Assignments ashore include Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director at the Missile Defense Agency in Arlington, Virginia and Surface Warfare Detailer in the Surface Warfare Assignments Branch (PERS-41), Navy Personnel Command, Millington, Tennessee.

Commander Heames holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in International Relations and Master of Science degree in Global Leadership, both conferred from the University of San Diego. He also holds a Master of Military Studies conferred from the Australian National University as a graduate of the Australian Command and Staff College, Canberra, Australia.
