CDR Ennis Parker
Commanding Officer

Commander Ennis Parker graduated from Amherst College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and was commissioned at Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida, in 1999. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. Afloat, Commander Parker has served as Combat Systems Officer and Weapons Officer in the guided-missile destroyer USS DECATUR (DDG 73) in San Diego, California; Strike Officer in USS MITSCHER (DDG 57); and Assistant Operations Officer for Commander, Destroyer Squadron Seven.

Ashore, Commander Parker has served as Deputy Executive Assistant for the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations, Integration of Capabilities and Resources (OPNAV N8); Surface Ship Construction Budget Analyst for the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Financial Management and Comptroller; Flag Aide to the Director, Surface Warfare, on the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV N96); Senior Military Fellow at the Center for a New American Security in Washington, DC, and Assistant Flag Secretary for Commander, Naval Surface Forces, Coronado, California. Commander Parker’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal and unit, campaign and service awards.
CDR Parker served as Executive Officer of USS HOWARD (DDG83) from May 2018 to September 2019.
