CMDCM (SW/AW) Jason M. Haka
Command Master Chief (November 2011 - October 2014)

Master Chief Haka is a native of Ishpeming, Michigan. In 1991 he graduated from Plantation High School, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and entered Active Duty on 7 January 1992 attending "Boot Camp" at RTC, Great Lakes, Illinois. Upon completion of "Boot Camp" he reported, MS "A" School at NTC San Diego, California.

In June of 1992 he reported to his first duty station, the "Golden Hawks" of VAW-112 in NAS Miramar, California. He completed two Western Pacific Deployments onboard USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) in support of OPERATION SOUTHERN WATCH.

In June 1996, he transferred to Naval Coastal Systems Station in Panama City, Florida as Cargo Supervisor and then Leading Petty Officer.

In September 1999, he transferred to USS KEARSARGE (LHD 3) in Norfolk, Virginia as Leading Petty Officer and then Leading Chief Petty Officer. He completed two Mediterranean/Arabian Gulf deployments in 2001 and 2003 to support both OPERATIONS ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.

In October 2003, he did a back-to-back sea duty and reported to USS KAUFFMAN (FFG 59) in Norfolk, Virginia as S-2 Division Leading Chief Petty Officer. He completed another Mediterranean/Arabian Gulf deployment in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM.

In November 2005, he transferred to Navy Food Management Team in Mayport, Florida as the Senior Instructor until September 2008. During this tour he qualified as a Master Training Specialist (MTS) and was promoted to Master Chief Petty Officer.

Master Chief Haka reported to USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72) as Supply Department LCPO from December 2008 to September 2011, completing one Western Pacific deployment in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM.

Master Chief Haka reported onboard USS LASSEN (DDG 82) in Yokosuka, Japan in November 2011 and served as the Command Master Chief.

Master Chief Haka is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 142 (Khaki) and CMC/COB Course Class 94. He has Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Leadership from Touro University International. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various other service and campaign awards.
