CDR Marc Deltete
Commanding Officer (May 2016 - September 2017)

Commander Marc Deltete, a native of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelors of Aerospace Engineering degree and was commissioned through the NROTC program in 1998. In 2006 he earned a Masters in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University.

Commander Deltete’s sea tours include division officer assignments in USS MILIUS (DDG 69) as Ordnance Officer and USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71) as Main Propulsion division officer. His Department Head tours were in USS MOMSEN (DDG 92) as Operations Officer, and USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72) as Reactor Electrical Assistant.

Ashore, he served as an instructor and division director at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command, Charleston, South Carolina. Commander Deltete has served on joint assignment with the Defense Intelligence Agency, Defense Technology and Long-Range Analysis Office.

In September 2014 he reported aboard as the Executive Officer of USS HIGGINS (DDG 76) and assumed command under the Fleet-Up program in May 2016.

His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (four awards), and various unit citations.
