LCDR Randall J.  Clemons   
Executive Officer (August 2017 - December 2017)

LCDR Clemons, a native of Smithville, Texas graduated from Recruit Training Command at Great Lakes in October 1997 and subsequently served as a Sonar Technician onboard USS HONOLULU (SSN 718). He was awarded a NROTC scholarship to attend the Prairie View A&M University where he graduated and received his commission in 2003.

Lieutenant Commander Clemons’s sea tours include Damage Control Assistant in USS Robert G. Bradley (FFG 49) and Weapons Officer Patrol Coastal Crew Bravo in USS Hurricane (PC-3). He served in USS Stethem (DDG 63) as the Chief Engineer and fleeted up to Combat System Officer from DEC 2011 through June 2015. Most recently, he served as an Integrated Air Missile Defense Officer for Commander Seventh Fleet in USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19).

Ashore Lieutenant Commander Clemons served as the Operations Officer at Afloat Training Group Ingleside, TX. Upon the closure of Ingleside, he served as Mine Counter Measure Training Liaison Officer at ATG San Diego.

LCDR Clemons reported as the Executive Officer in USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) in August 2017.

LCDR Clemons’s awards include the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, and various unit awards.
