|CDR Chris Kennedy
CDR Chris Kennedy, a native of Pampa, Texas, graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in May 2003 with a B.S. in Psychology. She holds a Master of Science in Education-Physical Education Curriculum and Instruction from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
Her afloat assignments include USS PONCE (LPD 15) as First Division Officer, USS WINSTON S. CHURCHILL (DDG 81) as Training Officer, and USS GRAVELY (DDG 107) as Weapons Officer and Combat Systems Officer. During these tours, she deployed to the Central Command and European Command areas of responsibility.
Ashore, she served as a Training Liaison Officer and Topside Department Head at Afloat Training Group, Norfolk, and as an Integrated Air and Missile Defense Warfare Tactics Instructor and Combat Systems Department Head at Afloat Training Group, San Diego. Her most recent tour was as the Aide de Camp to Commander Joint Forces Command Naples, Commander Naval Forces Europe/Africa.
CDR Kennedy is currently the Executive Officer in USS FITZGERALD (DDG 62).
Her awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards).
