USS John Paul Jones
In Harms Way

Welcome Aboard

Dear Guests,
Welcome aboard USS JOHN PAUL JONES. Our ship was named after Commodore John Paul Jones, the American Revolutionary War hero who gave our country its earliest naval tradition of heroism and the reputation for sailing “In Harm’s Way.”

USS JOHN PAUL JONES is the third Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer to be built and the first assigned to the Pacific coast. She is the most sophisticated and capable warship in the world today and was designed to support naval operations well into the twenty-first century.

Hopefully you are able to gain a better understanding of our ship’s mission and capabilities through your tour here. Regardless of her superb technical capability and advanced systems, JOHN PAUL JONES’ effectiveness depends on the skill, professionalism, and teamwork of her crew. At the heart of any ship is it’s crew and JPJ’s is the best in the world.

Again, welcome aboard! Thanks for stopping by our website and visiting.
