CDR Minetree
Commanding Officer

Commander Minetree is a native of Dinwiddie, Virginia. She graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Oceanography.

At sea, Commander Minetree served aboard USS HOPPER (DDG 70) as the Main Propulsion Officer, USS CROMMELIN (FFG 37) as the Auxiliaries Officer, and USS RUSSELL (DDG 59) as the Chief Engineer. Additionally, she completed a tour as the Executive Officer and Commanding Officer of MCM Crew Conflict.

Her shore assignments include serving on the Joint Staff as the Maritime Operations Officer and Executive Assistant in the Deputy Directorate for Nuclear, Homeland Defense, and Current Operations (J-33); and completing a tour as the Deputy Executive Assistant to Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command.

She attended the Naval Postgraduate School where she earned a Master of Science degree in Undersea Warfare.

Commander Minetree has been awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (One gold star), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (Four gold stars), Navy Achievement Medal and various campaign medals.
