Command Master Chief

Master Chief Meyer is native of Madison, South Dakota and enlisted in the US Navy in 1993.  After boot camp in Great Lakes, he attended FC “A” and “C” schools and obtained the NEC for a AN/SPY-1A Radar technician.  Later he attended “C” schools for AEGIS Weapons System, Combat Systems Maintenance Manager, and Combat Senior Enlisted Advisor NEC courses. 
Master Chief Meyer has served on board USS VALLEY FORGE (CG 50), USS O’KANE (DDG 77), USS MOBILE BAY (CG 53), USS SHOUP (DDG 86), and ashore at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division and AEGIS Technical Representative, Moorestown, New Jersey at the VADM James H. Doyle Combat Systems Engineering Development Site. 
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corp Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), various campaign and service medals and three Battle “E” awards for shipboard excellence.
