  GSM1(SW) Rennsie R. Gregorio

Petty Officer Gregorio entered the Navy in July 1993. He graduated Basic Training Center San Diego, CA where he was meritoriously advanced to Fireman as Outstanding Recruit of Company 170.

After completing Gas Turbine System “A” School he reported onboard the USS OLDENDORF (DD-972) from 1994 to 1999. He was a member of the Engineering Training Team, Maintenance Man in Main Engine Room 1, and Oil Laboratory. He earned numerous qualifications to include Engine room Operator, Assistant Fuel Oil King, Lube Oil King, CCS Top Watch (Aux Steaming), and his ESWS.

March 1999 to June 1999 he attended the Navy Law Enforcement Specialist School obtaining his NEC 9545. His shore tour was July 1999 to July 2002 as a member of Navy Region Southwest Security Department where he earned his Watch Supervisor Qualification.

He transferred to the USS KINKAID (DD 965) in August 2002. After De-commissioning the KINKAID, he did a crew swap with the USS FLETCHER (DD 992) and deployed for six months. In August 2003 he transferred to the USS FITZGERALD (DDG 62) as Main Propulsion LPO. September 2004, he did another Crew Swap with the USS O’BRIAN (DD 975). There he earned his Engineering Officer of the Watch and completed General Quarters and Condition II EOOW.

His second shore tour 2006 to 2009 was in the Gas Turbine Repair Shop, Production LPO on Southwest Region Maintenance Center where he earned his Journeyman Instructor NEC 9502, Senior Enlisted Propulsion Engineering NEC 4206 and Gas Turbine Technician NEC 4140.

In December 2009 he reported to Pre-commissioning Unit WILLIAM P. LAWRENCE (DDG 110) where he was assigned as Main Propulsion Division LPO and Engineering Department LPO. He was selected as 3rd quarter 2010 SOQ . May 2011 he attended his Detainee Operations training and earned NEC 90DP and returned back to the WILLIAM P. LAWRENCE.

He has been awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (7 award), Good conduct (5 award) and various campaign awards. Petty Officer Gregorio is a native of the Philippines.
