|CAPT Paul Bieraugel
Captain Paul Bieraugel is a native of Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and was commissioned through Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. He then completed nuclear propulsion training in Orlando, Florida, and Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Captain Bieraugel completed sea tours as Machinery Division Officer and Navigator on USS CALIFORNIA (CGN 36), Weapons Officer and Combat Systems Officer on USS JOHN PAUL JONES (DDG 53), Reactor Electrical Assistant on USS JOHN C STENNIS (CVN 74), Executive Officer on USS BENFOLD (DDG 65), Commanding Officer on USS KIDD (DDG 100), and Reactor Officer on USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70). During his sea tours he completed several deployments to the Western Pacific and Arabian Gulf.
Ashore, Captain Bieraugel completed tours in the Intelligence Division at Allied Forces Southern Europe in Naples, Italy and as a member of the Nuclear Propulsion Examining Board at Commander, Pacific Fleet in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. His other tours ashore were on the Staff of the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information, Plans, and Strategy (N3/N5) in Washington, D.C. and as Executive Assistant to Commander, Naval Surface Forces in Coronado, California. He was the Executive Officer at Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) and most recently was assigned as COMNAVSURFPAC ACOS N45, TYCOM Material Inspection Team (TMIT) and ACOS N46 Amphibious Ships Current Readiness Officer. Captain Bieraugel attended the Industrial College of the Armed Forces in Washington, D.C. where he earned a Masters Degree in National Resource Strategy.
Captain Bieraugel was awarded several personal awards and various campaign and service ribbons.
