CMDCM(SW/AW) Lisa Thomas
Command Master Chief (March 2016 - January 2018)

Master Chief Thomas, a native of Texas. She graduated from Prairiland High School in 1985. She attended Baylor University for two years before joining the Navy on March 1990 as a Weapons Technician.

After Orlando Boot Camp and Weapons Technician “A” school, her next duty stations included NAVMAG, Guam, and Weapons Department, Naval Air Station North Island, after which she converted to Radioman.

She reported to HQ US EUCOM, Stuttgart Germany in March of 1996 as a Radioman Second Class. She decommissioned USS INCHON (MCS 12) in Ingleside, Texas in 2002 after 3 years aboard. As a Chief she precommissioned USS PINCKNEY (DDG 91) in San Diego, California in May of 2003.

In October 2005, she checked aboard NCTS Naples as the Departmental LCPO for the Theater Network Operations and Security Center Europe. In February of 2007, then Senior Chief Thomas was designated the Command Senior Chief for Naval Computer and Telecommunication Station Naples.

In October 2008, she checked aboard PRECOM Unit WAYNE E. MEYER (DDG 108) as the 3M Coordinator. In May of 2009 she was selected for Master Chief and in February 2010, she was selected as Command Master Chief.

In April of 2011 Master Chief Thomas reported to USS MILIUS (DDG 69) as the Command Master Chief and after two years including INSURV and an eight month independent BMD deployment, Master Chief Thomas was selected to the PACFLT CPO Leadership Training in San Diego, CA. As the PACFLT CPO Leadership Team lead for West Coast, she conducted training hundreds of CPO and FCPO messes. In March of 2016, she reported to the USS MOBILE BAY (CG 53) as the Command Master Chief.

Master Chief Thomas is Enlisted Surface Warfare and Enlisted Aviation Warfare qualified. She is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, Command Leadership School and earned her Bachelors of Science in Information Technology Management.

Master Chief Thomas’ personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), various unit and service awards.
