ENCM(SW/AW) Roy E Neal
Senior Enlisted Leader (December 2013 - January 2015)

Master Chief Neal is a native of Glen Burnie, Maryland. He enlisted in the Navy and started his naval career at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes in January 1994.

Upon Completion of Engineman "A" school he reported to USS MONTEREY (CG-61) for his initial sea tour. Subsequent sea tours include USS WHIDBEY ISLAND (LSD-41), USS HARY S. TRUMAN (CVN-75) and USS SHOUP (DDG-86). He reported to his current sea tour onboard the staff of Commander, Destroyer Squadron NINE in November 2012.

In June 1999 he reported to Instructor School at Service School Command Great Lakes, Illinois. Subsequent shore tours include Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL as Recruit Division Commander.

Master Chief Neal’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), and various service, unit and deployment awards.
