COMDESRON THREE ONE Staff members participated in the Kapolei High School Fitness Day on March 15, 2019 hosted by Hawaii Department of Education (DOE).
The objective of the day was to promote positive partnerships and interactions with Elementary School students, Middle School students, High School students, community organizations, and military personnel.
Events included a pacer run, push-ups, curl-ups, and sit and reach. Multiple commercial sponsors supported the event by hosting a variety of Field Day stations. CDS 31 Staff members helped facilitate the day, ensuring events ran smoothly and were safe for the students. CDS 31 Staff members were excited to give back to the community and positively impact local youth through mentorship and community involvement.
CS1(SW) Maureen Go, a Culinary Specialist, said “I had a great time and really enjoyed interacting with the students. My favorite event was the pacer run station. I enjoyed motivating and pushing the students passed what they believed they were able to accomplish”.
