CAPT Jon Duffy
Commodore (Aeptember 2017 - September 2019)

Captain Jon Duffy is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and a 1994 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a B.S. in Physics.

As a Division Officer at sea, CAPT Duffy served as Gunnery Officer, Strike Officer, and Main Propulsion Assistant on USS ELLIOT (DD 967), and on USS PRINCETON (CG 59) as the Fire Control Officer and Air Defense Officer. His Department Head tours were as the Operations Officer onboard USS PAUL HAMILTON (DDG 60) and USS PORT ROYAL (CG 73). He served as Executive Officer on USS PINCKNEY (DDG 91). CAPT Duffy commanded USS JOHN PAUL JONES (DDG 53) and USS ANTIETAM (CG 54). Prior to assuming command of DESRON FIFTEEN, he was the Deputy Commodore.

Ashore, CAPT Duffy has served as the Director for Defense Policy and Strategy on the National Security Council in The White House, as the Director of the Commander's Action Group for the Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, as the Executive Assistant to the Navy's Chief of Legislative Affairs, as the Flag Aide to the Commander of Naval Surface Forces, and he was assigned as the U.S. Naval Academy's 19th Company Officer, earning a Master's Degree in Leadership Education and Human Resource Development from the Naval Postgraduate School.

Captain Duffy assumed command of Destroyer Squadron FIFTEEN in September 2017.
