Petty Officer Myers is a native of Lodi, CA.  A graduate of Ukiah High School in 2002, he immediately entered the U.S. Navy on September 10th and received recruit training and attended seaman ATD in Great Lakes, IL.
In December 2002, he reported to his first command onboard USS Anchorage (LSD 36) where he completed a WESTPAC to the 5th Fleet AOR prior to decommission. Other assignments include USS Bonhomme-Richard (LHD 6), Naval Security Force Bahrain, Amphibious Construction Battalion One, and Beach Master Unit One.

In September 2003, he was assigned to USS Bonhomme-Richard where he completed three deployments to include WESTPAC 2004 in support of Global War on Terrorism and Operation Unified Assistance (Tsunami Humanitarian Assistance) where he received Enlisted Surface Warfare specialist and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist qualifications and advancement to Third and Second Class Petty Officer.
In October 2006, he transferred to NSF Bahrain. It was here where BM1 completed the Naval Security Force and Harbor Patrol Unit academies receiving out of rate qualifications as a Field Training Officer, TOCC watch stander, and Watch Commander.
In November 2007, he was assigned to PHIBCB 1 where he received multiple qualifications to include Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist, INLS Craftmaster, and instructor NEC 9502. Petty Officer Myers facilitated instruction to over 347 personnel in INLS craftmaster operations and Basic Combat Skills.
In December 2010, he transferred to BMU-1 completing three multi-national exercises in addition to deploying onboard the USS Peleliu (LHA 5) as Salvage Officer for BPT Foxtrot. It was here that he received command advancement to First Class Petty Officer and earned the selection as Senior Sailor of the Quarter 3rd and 4th quarters FY 13 as well as Senior Sailor of the Year FY 13 and Senior Sailor of the Quarter 4th quarter FY14 as well as Senior Sailor of the Year FY14.
Petty Officer Myers’ personal awards include, Navy Achievement Medal (6 awards), Enlisted Surface Warfare Insignia, Enlisted Aviation Warfare insignia and Seabee Combat Warfare Insignia.
