HT1(SW) Donipaul H. Briscoe
Hull Technician 1st Class Petty Officer

Hull Technician 1st Class Petty Officer Donipaul H. Briscoe is a native of Sedilla, Mo. on Feb. 26, 1984, and graduated from West Plains High School on May 30, 2002. He joined the United States Navy on Jun. 18, 2002, and attended Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill. After graduation, he attended Hull Maintenance Technician “A” School in Great Lakes, Ill.

Briscoe reported to his first duty assignment to Basic Underwater Water Demolition Training at Naval Special Warfare Center in Coronado, Calif., on Jan. 4, 2003.

On Jul. 27, 2003, he reported aboard USS Denver (LPD 9). While assigned to Denver, he was advanced to 2nd Class Petty Officer, and earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist qualification. He also completed numerous deployments to Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Fleets Area of Operation. On Oct. 26, 2007, he reported aboard USS McCampbell (DDG 85), homeported in Yokosuka, Japan.

Briscoe reported to Afloat Training Group (ATG), Western Pacific on Nov. 15, 2010. He earned his Master Training Specialist and Afloat Training Specialist qualifications, and was selected as the Senior Sailor of the Third Quarter for fiscal year 2012 and 2013, and was selected as the 2013 Senior Sailor of the Year for ATG and ATG Pacific.

Petty Officer Briscoe is currently stationed aboard USS Sterett (DDG 104), and is the Engineering, ER Division Leading Petty Officer.

He is a recent graduate of Central Texas College where he received an Associate’s Degree for General Studies. His personal awards and military decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commedation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (7), Good Conduct Medal (3) and various unit and campaign awards.
