Bonhomme Richard Receives Supplies in preparation for AIT and CERTEX
160202-N-MP556-007 Okinawa, JAPAN (Feb. 2, 2016) Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) 8 assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7 approaches the boat ramp at White Beach Naval Facility after delivering equipment to the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6).  Bonhomme Richard and the amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) are conducting an onload of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in preparation for Amphibious Integration Training (AIT) and Certification Exercises (CERTEX) . Bonhomme Richard with embarked Amphibious Squadron 11, Germantown, NBU 7 and the 31st MEU are on forward-deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
