CMDCM(EXW/IW) Kimberly J. Ferguson
Command Master Chief
Master Chief Ferguson was born in Florida and enlisted in the Navy in October 1993. Following recruit training in Orlando, Florida she transferred to Naval Technical Training Center, Pensacola, Florida for Cryptologic Technician (Administrative) “A” School.
She has served in a myriad of assignments to include Naval Technical Training Center Pensacola, Naval Security Group Activity Yokosuka, Naval Reserve Security Group San Diego/Fleet Information Warfare Center, Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Counselor at Naval Medical Center San Diego, and Navy Information Operations Command Fort Gordon, Georgia where she converted to the Yeoman rating in 2007 and was selected to Chief Petty Officer in 2009. In November 2009, she transferred to Naval Special Warfare Development Group, Damneck, Virginia where she spent eight years serving as Division LCPO, DAPA, multiple Joint Task Force deployments as the J1 and Senior Enlisted Advisor, Department LCPO, and for her final two years, serving as the Command Senior Enlisted Advisor for 2000 plus personnel.
Master Chief Ferguson was selected for the Command Senior Chief program in 2017 and then Master Chief a few months later. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 184/Gold) and CMC/COB Course. Her personal decorations include the Defense Service Meritorious Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (six awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), and various other personal and unit awards.
Master Chief Ferguson reported to her current assignment as the Command Master Chief, USS GUNSTON HALL (LSD 44) in December 2017.
