Commander Douglas Raineault
Executive Officer

CDR Douglas Raineault graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor's of Science in Ocean Engineering in 2003.

His initial sea duty assignment was in USS WINSTON S. CHURCHILL (DDG 81), homeported in Norfolk, VA, where he served as the Ordnance and Strike officer.  His second division officer assignment was in USS NORMANDY (CG 60), where he served as the Navigator.  As a Department Head, CDR Raineault served as the Weapons and Combat Systems Officer in USS PORTER (DDG 78), homeported in Norfolk, VA.
Ashore, CDR Raineault served as a Naval Science Instructor at Cornell University.  As a post-Department Head, he served as the Academic Director for Fleet Training at the Surface Warfare Officers School in Newport, RI and as the Navy Integration Lead at Missile Defense Agency Headquarters in Fort Belvoir, VA.
CDR Raineault holds a Master's of Engineering in Engineering Management from Cornell University.  His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3).
