YNC(SW/AW) Sean Stone
Senior Enlisted Advisor
Chief Sean Stone was born and raised in Michigan. He entered the U.S. Naval Reserves in the Sea and Air Mariner (SAM) Program attending basic training in Orlando, Florida.
Chief Stone attended Cryptologic Technician (Administrative) “A” school in Pensacola, Florida. He reported to his first duty station, Naval Reserve Security Group Detroit in Detroit, Michigan in 1994.
Chief Stone’s follow on tours include multiple reserve mobilizations including Presidential Recall to Headquarters, US European Command in support of OPERATION JOINT ENDEAVOR. Later, he transferred to Active Duty for assignment to USS ANZIO (CG 68), and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff where the CTA rating was merged with Yeoman in 2008. Chief Stone also served at Special Operations Command Europe, and USS SAMPSON (DDG 102), where he was advanced to Chief Petty Officer in 2013. He was subsequently assigned to support Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon, completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration through University of Maryland University College and is currently assigned as the Senior Enlisted Advisor at Commander, Amphibious Squadron FOUR.
Chief Stone's personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal (three awards), Navy Achievement Medal (four awards), Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Naval Parachutist, various unit and campaign awards, and has been awarded military parachutist qualifications from the German, Belgian, and Greek armies.
