Its purpose is to educate its readers on undersea warfare missions and programs, with a particular focus on U.S. submarines. This journal will also draw upon the Submarine Forceís rich historical legacy to instill a sense of pride and professionalism among community members and to enhance reader awareness of the increasing relevance of undersea warfare for our nationís defense.

On The Cover
Featured on the cover is Electronics Technician Chief Petty Officer (SS) Bobby Mueller, one of more than 500 Sailors throughout the Submarine Force who were recently selected for advancement to chief  petty officer. Chief Mueller is currently SUBLANT's Tender/IMA Shore Monitor, and has served aboard USS Helena (SSN-725), USS Boise (SSN-764), and most recently USS Hampton (SSN-767).
