TSD WESTPAC Headquarters, Building 1997. TSD WESTPAC main building contains Staff offices of TSD WESTPAC and ATG WESTPAC, the instructor offices for both CID Learning Site Yokosuka, GST Learning Site Yokosuka and CSCS DET Yokosuka, plus the majority of TSD WESTPAC Classrooms.
FIRE SCHOOL/DAMAGE CONTROL FACILITY
Building 4834 houses the SWOS ELSY Fire Fighting and Damage Control Facility and classrooms. It is a state-of-the-art facility, and is the last remaining fossil fuel fire school in the U.S. Navy. The main firefighting structure contains the SWOS Learning Site Yokosuka staff offices, and exceptional mock-up trainers for weapons pit fire, helicopter fire, galley fire, main space fire, electrical space fire, and berthing compartment fire. The Damage Control facility supports every aspect of shipboard damage control in a realistic environment.
FORCE PROTECTION COMPOUND
Building 4818 contains the office spaces and classrooms used by the CENSECFOR Learning Site Yokosuka instructors. The TSD WESTPAC CSF LSY Force Protection Compound contains a Force Protection Ship Simulator, a Non-Lethal Weapons Tactical Movements and Takedown area, a Fire Arms Training Simulator (FATS), and training aids and practice areas for basic and advanced Force Protection training.
TSD WESTPAC classrooms are located within the ATG WESTPAC Det spaces of the Sasebo Maintenance and Training Facility, building 480. Building 480 is on the Tategami Peninsula area of the Naval base. Upon arriving at the building, take the elevator or stairs to the 4th floor. Cut across the rooftop parking area in an 11 o’clock direction and enter the door. This is the ATG WESTPAC Det section of the facility. All the classrooms are located through the main double doors, adjacent to the ATG WESTPAC Det office.
TSD WESTPAC serves several of the NETC Learning Centers with facilities for local Learning Center Sites, here specifically, for the delivery of the courses in the homeport. The following
