PCS students arriving prior to class convening date check-in at Training Support Department (TSD) Hawaii Building 39 Ford Island, room 106 for processing.

PCS / TAD students arriving day of convening, check-in to the appropriate Learning Site for class. Ensure you bring all required documentation and verification that all course prerequisites have been met.

  • - Center for Information Dominance Learning Site Pearl Harbor
    • Learning Sites main office is on Ford Island in the TSD Hawaii Building 39, Harbor End, Room 117 were Information Technology courses are delivered. The Learning Site has two additional locations: Kunia site (Linguist courses) is located at the PACOM tunnel on Old Kunia Road. NIOC location (crypto logic courses) is in Building 324, located by Drydock 4 in the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.
  • - Center for Force Health Protection
    • The Training Agent for this center is Navy Environmental Protection Mobile Unit Six (NEPMU6) and is located in their new building on South Ave on the right as you proceed from Nimitz Gate.
  • - Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Detachment Kaneohe Bay
    • CNATTU Learning Site is located in VP-3 building on Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe Bay.
  • - Center for Surface Warfare Officers School Engineering Learning Site Pearl Harbor
    • Located on South Ave, Joint Base Pearl Harbor - Hickam, the SWOS Engineering Learning Site Compound Bldg 1430 is located across from Porter Gate through to Hickam AFB.
  • - Center for Security Forces Detachment Pearl Harbor
    • CSF LS PH office is located on Ford Island in the TSD Hawaii Building 39, on the Second floor room 207.
  • - Center for Surface Combat Systems Detachment Pearl Harbor
    • CSCS Detachment is located in Bldg 1631 at the corner of Mike Pier 1&2. CAC card access is required for entry to the pier. Information on the access process is posted at the pedestrian gates.
  • - Center for Submarine Learning / Naval Submarine Training Center Pacific
    • Naval Submarine Training Center Pacific "Big Blue" Building 1262 is located on North Ave. Naval Station Pearl Harbor.
      • Tactics courses and trainers are delivered in ‘Big Blue’ listed above.
      • Engineering courses and trainers are delivered in TSD Hawaii building 39 on Ford Island.
      • Submarine Fire Fighting and Damage Control school is located on Ford Island in building 463 on the southern end of the island facing Pearl Harbor channel opening.
  • - Naval Education and Training Command General Skills Training Site Pearl Harbor
    • NETC GST office is located on Ford Island in the TSD Hawaii Building 39, room 156.
  • - Naval Safety Center
    • Courses delivered by the Safety Center are supported in the TSD Hawaii building 39 on Ford Island. Check the building kiosk at the main entrance for room assignment or as conveyed on your reservation response.


Uniform of the Day will be Service Uniform in accordance with Regional Commanders Uniform Policy and Regulations. Officer/CPO: Service Khaki (unless specifically specified by course)
E-6 & Below: Working Uniform (unless specifically specified by course)
The working uniform is prescribed for classroom training with the exception of Naval Instructor Training Courses (NITC) which require Service Dress Uniforms.

Pearl Harbor is a large base with excellent exchange and uniform facilities. Honolulu has the advantage of boasting an International Airport with all amenities (Including a large selection of car rental companies). A host of ATMs from most banks as well as Check cashing facilities are available. On base parking is plentiful. Vehicle registration is required. Base access with a Rental Car requires Rental Agreement and matching CAC identification. Students are reminded that they may only park in designated areas. Driving a motorcycle onboard a Naval facility requires the proper attire and successful completion of a DOD Motorcycle Safety Course. Qualified motorcyclists will comply with OPNAVINST 5100.12 series. Honolulu is a high cost area year-around. Hotels, motels and off-base housing is expensive. Students should make reservations at the Navy Gateway Inns and Suites (NGIS) prior to their arrival. Ample parking is available on or around the various Learning Site locations. Students are reminded to park in designated stalls only for both vehicles and motorcycles.
