The Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Detachment (CNATT DET) Point Mugu will be officially established on 18 Apr. 2017, in support of the Navy's future fleet of Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) long-range unmanned aerial systems (UAS). CNATT DET Point Mugu will be responsible for providing technical and maintenance training to over 200 Navy personnel annually on the MQ-4C and mission control systems.
Maintenance training will be conducted at the new state-of-the-art Triton schoolhouse containing nine electronic classrooms, Flight Control Trainer, Avionics Trainer, Landing Gear Trainer, Engine Repair Trainer, Fiber Optics Repair Lab and a Composite/Airframe Repair Lab. Our instructors and staff are committed to providing exceptional training and preparing the future Fleet maintainers of the Navy’s newest UAS platform.
