CNATTU Jax is based ashore at the U.S. Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida, an organizational sub-unit of the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training based at the U.S. Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida. CNATTU Jax provides technical training for U.S. Military and Allied Officers and enlisted personnel in the maintenance of air weapon systems and associated equipment. CNATTU Jax also provides training material and curriculum support to the Commander, Naval Air Systems Command, at the U.S. Naval Air Station in Patuxent River, Maryland.
CNATTU Jax is broken down into nine Units/Departments including the Admin Department, the Staff Department, and five Maintenance Training Units.
CNATTU Jax teaches 144 different courses spread across four different aircraft and various aviation support equipment, of which 97 courses are managed by unit personnel. Over 5,000 US and Foreign students graduate from CNATTU Jax annually, representing over 81 naval enlisted classification codes (NEC's).
