Commanding Officer: Commander Andrew W. Boyden Commanding Officer

Commander Boyden, hailing from Galesburg, Illinois, graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and was commissioned through Officer Candidate School in 2000. He graduated from the Naval Postgraduate School with a Master of Science in Defense Analysis (Special Operations/Low Intensity Conflict curriculum).

His operational tours include service as the intelligence officer for Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 131, including a deployment aboard USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom; and as the intelligence officer for Naval Special Warfare Tactical Development and Evaluation Squadron 3 at Naval Special Warfare Development Group. He has deployed to Afghanistan, the Middle East, and the Horn of Africa in support of naval and joint force operations, including as a joint task force director of intelligence (J2) on multiple occasions.

His shore assignments include North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command as an intelligence analyst and briefer in the Intelligence Directorate ; Chief of Naval Operations Intelligence Plot as a watch officer and briefer; and Naval Information Forces as the intelligence mission manager.

His personal awards include the Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal (two awards), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards).





Executive Officer: Lieutenant Commander Anthony "Eric" Dobson Executive Officer

Lt. Cmdr. Eric Dobson graduated from Boiling Springs High School, Spartanburg County, South Carolina in 1992. On April 26, 1993, he enlisted in the Navy and completed basic training and Data Processing Technician “A” school in San Diego. He attained the rank of information systems technician 1st class, and was then commissioned through the limited duty officer (LDO) program in 2003 as an information professional LDO. In 2012, he was laterally transferred to the information professional restricted line community.

His enlisted operational tours included USS America (CV 66) and USS Nassau (LHA 4) as a network technician, and the Joint Communications Unit as a network administrator. After commissioning, his operational tours included USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) as the automated data processing officer and as tactical automated identification system officer; Naval Special Warfare Development Group as information systems officer and as director of communications (N6); and USS America (LHA 6) as combat systems information officer.

Ashore, his enlisted tour was at the Defense Intelligence Agency as a network administrator. After commissioning, his shore tours include U.S. 2nd Fleet as fleet communications officer; and Naval Personnel Command as the information professional junior detailer.

Currently, Dobson serves as executive officer of Information Warfare Training Command Virginia Beach, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Networking from Strayer University in Washington D.C., a Master of Arts in Information Technology Management from Webster University in St. Louis, and a Master of Science in Information Technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.

His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and various unit and campaign awards. He is qualified as an information warfare officer, surface warfare officer, enlisted surface warfare specialist, and Navy and Marine Corps parachutist.





Senior Enlisted Advisor: ISCM (SW/AW) Danny K. Leek Senior Enlisted Leader

Master Chief Leek, a native of Newburgh, Ind., graduated in 1993 from Castle High School and attended boot camp at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes. He completed Job Oriented Basic Skills Strand II Operations, Millington, Tenn.; Intelligence Specialist (IS) “A” School, Dam Neck, Va.; and IS Strike “C” School.

At sea, he served aboard USS Enterprise (CVN 65) as Operations department OZ division work center supervisor, where he was responsible for the daily maintenance of all intelligence spaces and equipment; USS Saipan (LHA 2) as leading petty officer, leading chief petty officer (LCPO), division officer and assistant intelligence officer; and USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) as OZ division LCPO for over 30 intelligence specialists, as well as assistant LCPO for the Operations department.

His shore tours include service with the U.S. Atlantic Fleet intelligence (N2) staff, where he was responsible for the daily operation of the Automated Merchant Reporting System and upkeep of nine country sites, including hardware and software setups and training; Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center, Dam Neck, as the IS “A” School LCPO; Defense Intelligence Agency as the Navy Element Command Master Chief, and the senior enlisted advisor to the Human Capital directorate and the Human Capital military branch; and Navy Expeditionary Combat Command as the force intelligence specialist.

He was promoted to master chief petty officer in May 2010. He received his associate degree in liberal arts from Saint Leo University and his bachelor’s degree from American Military University. Additionally, he earned his enlisted surface warfare specialist and enlisted aviation warfare specialist qualifications.

Master Chief Leek reported as senior enlisted leader for Information Warfare Training Command Virginia Beach in July 2016.

His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and Good Conduct Medal (seven awards).
