Work Status

MARCH 31TH, 2020: 7:45 AM Pacific Time (PT)

The NAVWAR HQ work status is as follows:

The response to the COVID-19 outbreak continues to move quickly. Naval Base Point Loma (NBPL) Old Town Complex (OTC) is operating under Health Protection Condition (HPCON) Charlie designation.

NAVWAR HQ is maximizing the telework posture of its workforce onboard NBPL OTC, bringing personnel numbers onboard to a minimum.

Be advised other commands - here, across the nation, or around the world - may have different guidance, so it is imperative that you continue to coordinate with your Supervisor for instructions or answers to your questions.

The NAVWAR work status link will be updated when new information becomes available.

For off-hours base access, if your CAC is not coded, you should go to the Naval Base Point Loma Pass and ID Office, Building 174, between the hours of 0630 and 1445. The Pass and ID Office contact number is (619) 553-0938.

You may also access these updates by calling the NAVWAR Employee Work Status Hotline: 1-877-551-3804.

U.S. Navy COVID-19 Information:

NAVWAR leadership asks all employees (civilians, military and contractors) who are required to work on base complete the screening process prior to entering the Navy facility. Please note that you do not need to fill out or turn in the questionnaire - simply report that you have done the self-assessment.

Military and civilians should report results to their supervisor every day they come into the workplace.

If you are teleworking, you should conduct the self-assessment but only report results if you are feeling sick.

On Site Service Contractors should conduct the self-assessment and report results to their contractor supervisor and government Contract Officer Representative (COR).

If you answer "YES" to question 1, 2, or 4, YOU ARE DIRECTED NOT to come to the workplace. Contact your government or contractor supervisor/COR for further guidance.  There are no exceptions to this policy.
