 Welcome Aboard

A"Benvenuti a Napoli". On behalf of the men and women of U.S. Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station Naples, I would like to extend a warm and sincere welcome. Our mission is to provide secure, reliable and timely voice, video and data services to the U.S. Navy joint, allied and coalition customers. We have two manned sites in Naples: C4I at Capodichino and SATCOM at Lago Patria. Additionally, NCTS Naples has the oversight responsibilities for a small contingent in LaMaddelena, Italy. NCTS Naples is comprised of approximately 20 Officers, 325 Enlisted personnel and 40 civilians.

I encourage you to contact the Command Sponsor Coordinator at the earliest opportunity to discuss your transfer to NCTS, Naples and to raise any questions you that you may have. The Command Sponsor Coordinator can be reached at DSN 314-626-3708 or Commercially 011-39-081-568-3708. If you have access to email, you can contact the Command Sponsor Coordinator by clicking on this link - Sponsor Coordinator.
If you wish to write, the address is NCTS, PSC 822, Box 1000, FPO, AE, 09621.

If your family members are accompanying you, it is important to notify your sponsor. Provide your sponsor with a letter or e-mail with information about your family size and how many bedrooms you are looking for, your sponsor will be able to assist you in the right direction for base housing or civilian housing. As a service to all command sponsor families, upon request, family housing will provide refrigerators, washers and dryers and ranges to all command sponsored families, where residing on or off base. You are encouraged to use these appliances and consider not shipping your major appliances to Italy. All other furniture support (loaner furniture) is provided for a maximum of 90 days. Additional information: The two following web sites can answer a lot of questions.

If possible, I suggest you ship your privately owned vehicle at least 30 days prior to your transfer to Italy due to high rental car costs. Transportation is supported via a base bus system between the two major bases, NSA at (Capodichino) and the Support Site at (Gricignano) but due to a limited schedule privately owned transportation is recommended. To obtain the shipping status of your POV you can log onto the web and access: Where is My POV . Once there you will be required to enter your shipping number along with your last name.

There is no Quarantine period in Italy, but you will be required to have a current rabies immunization record on the animal(s). The pet must have rabies shots not more than 12 months and not less than 30 days prior to arrival in Italy. No exotic pets are allowed.

I trust that you are eager to join us as we meet the C4I challenges for the European and Central Theatres of operation. Our team is talented, motivated and committed to excellence and we look forward to making you a part of the team.
