A native of Doland, SD, Captain Jenna Hausvik was commissioned in 1994 from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. A qualified Navy Pilot, she laterally transferred to Cryptology in 2003 and qualified as an Information Dominance Warfare Officer in December 2010.
Prior to reporting to NCTS Far East, CAPT Hausvik most recently served as the U.S. Pacific Fleet Deputy Director of Intelligence and Information Operations (N2N39) responsible for intelligence and information operations in the maritime domain of the Indo-Pacific Area of Responsibility.
Her operational/sea duty assignments include: VQ-2, Rota, Spain piloting the EP-3 in multiple deployment locations in support of Operations JOINT FORGE and DELIBERATE GUARD as well as being the PAO, Information Systems Division Officer (DIVO), and Avionics DIVO; NSGA Misawa, Japan where she was the Operations Dept. Head and flew as a Communications Evaluator (COMEVAL) in support of Pacific and Middle East operations; and NIOC Bahrain, as the Executive Officer and flying as a COMEVAL in support of multiple operations including Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM.
Ashore, she was the Analysis and Reporting (FHS2) Deputy, at NSA/CSS Hawaii (NSAH), Cyber Directorate Head and the Operations Officer for NIOC Norfolk/Task Force 1030 (CTF 1030), Norfolk, VA; and a Basic Officer Leadership facilitator at Naval Aviation Schools Command, Pensacola, FL where she qualified as a Master Training Specialist. She also graduated from the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. Her major staff tours were in the PACOM J2 as the Intelligence Support to Information Operations Officer at Camp Smith, HI and as the Fleet Cryptologist for Commander, THIRD Fleet in San Diego, CA.
She has approximately 1600 flight hours, including combat hours, in the EP-3 Aries and three Air Medals as well as various personal, campaign, unit, and service awards.
Hausvik earned a B.S. in Economics from the Naval Academy and an M.A. in National Security and Strategy from the Naval War College.
She is married to Vanessa Mamhot, a retired U.S. Navy Chief from the Philippines.
