Captain Harold T. Cole
Captain Cole is a native of Enterprise, Alabama and a graduate of Auburn University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in History and commission in June 1996, via the Auburn University NROTC program. Following graduation, he reported to Pensacola, Florida in July 1996, where he completed Cryptologic Officer training at naval Technical Training Center, Corry Station. His first assignment in the community was fleet support division officer at Naval Security Group Activity, Pensacola, from 1997 to 2001, where he was responsible for conducting computer network operations for Navy fleet and shore commands.
Additional assignments included Computer Network Vulnerability Analyst in the Information Assurance Directorate of the National Security Agency, and department head in Naval Security Group Activity, Fort Meade, Maryland, from 2001 to 2005. In 2005, Captain Cole transferred to USS ENTERPRISE (CVN-65), Norfolk, Virginia, where he served as the ship's Information Warfare Officer and OS Division Officer. He completed one deployment with the "BIG E" in 2006, to the 6th, 5th, and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility. Captain Cole transferred to Navy Information Operations Command Georgia in 2007, where he served as the Joint Operatons Department Head and Tailored Access Operations Military Deputy, leading Sailors working in NSA/CSS Georgia.
His senior leadership and staff assignments include duty on the Chief of Naval Operations Staff (OPNAV) in the Electronic and Cyber Warfare Division (N2N6F3), as Assistant Branch Chief for the Cyber Warfare Branch, Pentagon, Washingon, D.C.; Deputy Information Warfare Commander/N39 for Carrier Strike Group ELEVEN, Everett, Washington, where he deployed onboard USS NIMITZ (CVN-68) to the U.S. Pacific and Central Command areas of responsibility; as Executive Officer of Navy Information Operations Command Georgia; and as Executive Assistant to the Commander, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. TENTH Fleet, Fort Meade, Maryland and most recently as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Readiness at Naval Information Forces, Suffolk, Virginia. Captain Cole currently serves as Command Officer, Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command and Commander, Task Force 1020.
Captain Cole's decorations include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), Navy Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy Achievement Medal and various service and campaign awards. He has earned Masters Degrees in Information Assurance from Capitol College, and Strategic Studies from the United States Air Force War College.
Commander Steve J. Sollon
Commander Sollon is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and received his BS in Computer Science and commission in May 2000 via the U.S. Naval Academy. He initially selected submarines but eventually re-designated to cryptology. Following re-designation he reported to Pensacola, Florida in June 2001 where he completed Cryptologic Officer training at Naval Technical Training Center, Corry Station. His first assignment in the community was at the Naval Security Group Activity Fort Meade from 2001 to 2005, where he served at the National Security Operations Center and the Information Warfare Support Center.
Additional assignments included the Signals and Electronic Warfare Officer onboard USS ANTIETAM (CG-54) from 2005 to 2007, deploying to the Arabian Gulf in 2005 and 2007. In 2007, Sollon transferred to Navy Information Operations Command Hawaii, where he initially served as a Team Lead in the PACOM Branch. Sollon deployed on an Individual Augmentation with Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan in 2008, where he served as the Collection Management Chief. After his return from deployment, he assumed duties as the Tailored Access Operations Military Deputy.
Commander Sollon's senior leadership and staff assignments include a joint assignment as the SIGINT Advisor for the XVIII Airborne Corp, where he deployed as part of the closeout Corp for U.S. Forces-Iraq; U.S. Fleet Cyber Command / U.S. TENTH Fleet as Battle Watch Captain, Cyber Mission Force planner, and Deputy Cyber Fires Chief; Officer in Charge of Navy Information Operations Detachment Groton; Deputy Information Warfare Commander for Carrier Strike Group TEN, Norfolk, Virginia, where he deployed onboard USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN-69) to the U.S. European and Central Command areas of responsibility; Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Manning, Manpower, and Readiness at Naval Information Forces, where he also temporarily served as the Executive Assistant to the Commander during a period of urgent operational need. Sollon currently serves as the Executive Officer of Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command.
Sollon's decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (2), Meritorious Service Medal (4), Joint Service Commendation Medal (2), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, and various service and campaign awards. He is a qualified Information Warfare Officer, Surface Warfare Officer, and Basic Parachutist. He holds a Master’s Degree in Intelligence Studies from American Military University.
He is married and has three children.

Senior Enlisted Leader
Senior Chief Gordon enlisted in 2005 from Arlington, Indiana. She attended recruit training and completed Information System Technician "A" School in Great Lakes, Illinois.
Her tours include USNS Niagara Falls (T-AFS 3), Guam; USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20), Gaeta, Italy; NCTS Naples, Italy; Navy Marine Corp Internet Detachment, Norfolk, Virginia; Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa, Djibouti; USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19); and Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command (NCDOC), Suffolk, Virginia. She has deployed across multiple Western Pacific and Atlantic deployments as well as deployments throughout the Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea.
ITCS (IW/SW/EXW) Gordon has served at NCDOC since 2015 in the Operations, Training, Defense Cyber Operations Deployer, and Cybersecurity Departments, and currently serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
Senior Chief Gordon's personal awards include the Joint Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal (six awards), and various unit and personal awards. She has earned her Master's Degree in Cybersecurity Policy and Management from University of Maryland University College, and a proud wife and mother of four children.
