Senior Chief Petty Officer Robert A. Lewis
Senior Chief Lewis is a native of Sacramento, CA. He enlisted in the United States Navy in December 2000, and attended Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, IL. Upon completion of boot camp, he attended Aviation Electronics Technician Intermediate level “A” and “C” schools in Pensacola, FL and San Diego, CA.
In March 2001, Senior Chief Lewis reported to CSFWP Detachment AIMD in Lemoore, CA where he served as a Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) technician. He completed one deployment onboard USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN and two deployments onboard USS RONALD REAGAN.
In August 2008, he reported to CNATTU North Island as a CASS Instructor but was subsequently selected as an Individual Augmentee. He deployed to Taji and Diwaniya, Iraq and operated Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Upon his return, he earned his Master Training Specialist qualification and was advanced to the rank of Chief Petty Officer on September 16, 2011.
He then went on to serve onboard USS GEORGE WASHINGTON where he advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer in 2015, and then USS RONALD REAGAN, and VAQ-141 as the Production Senior Chief and Quality Assurance Supervisor. In 2018, he was selected as a Command Senior Chief.
He is a graduate of the Coast Guard Senior Enlisted Leadership Course class 66 and CMC/COB class 19080. His personal decorations include the Joint Services Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
