Uniforms

The prescribed Uniform of the Day for Cryptologic Warfare Activity SIXTY SIX during the winter months is Service Dress Blues. The authorized alternate uniform is Khakis for E-7 and above and Service Uniforms for E-6 and below. During the summer, Summer Whites for E-7 and above; Service Dress Whites for E-6 and below. The alternate uniform for E-7 and above are Khakis; Service Uniforms for E-6 and below.

Readiness Department

After checking-in at the CWG-6 Quarterdeck, you will be required to report to CWA-66's Readiness Department office located in building 9804 Room 143A. CWA-66's Readiness Office is staffed during regular working hours (0730-1600) Monday-Friday. You can contact the CWA-66 Readiness Office at 301-677-9054.

 

Messing Facilities

If you initially arrive after working hours, present a copy of your orders at the Five Hats dining facility for service. Otherwise, upon check-in, you will received the necessary information to use the Five Hats Dining Facility.

Transportation

Other than commercial taxi service, public transportation to, from, and around Fort Meade is practically non-existent. There is limited bus service from Baltimore-Washington to Fort Meade. For information and up-to-date schedules, call: 410-539-5000. Taxi fare from BWI Airport to Fort Meade is approximately $20.

Fleet and Family

The Fleet and Family Support Center assists individuals and families through a full array of programs and resources that help military families to be resilient, well-informed and adaptable to the Navy environment. The staff supports mission readiness, assists commanders in planning for and responding to family readiness needs and facilities building a strong community network of services through education, community outreach and partnerships. The FFSC's staff leads workshops on a variety of topics, such as life skills development, military and personal career development and personal financial management. Relocation Assistance provides information, education and counseling on all issues related to a Permanent Change of Station (PCS).

Medical

Personnel reporting to CWA-66 MUST re-enroll in Tricare Prime.
Fort Meade does not provide obstetrical services, however, support is available through three military hospitals within the Washington, D.C. area.
