Anchor Watch Magazine
Established in 1974, the Anchor Watch has served as a communication vehicle for the Sailors and civilians of the Fort Meade cryptologic community. The news-feature magazine is published bi-monthly. It is distributed in limited quantities to the command but is also available on the CWG-6 website.
During its 40-year history, the magazine has evolved into an award winning publication. The magazine received first place recognition in the 1999 Chief of Naval Information Merit Awards competition, and in a subsequent competition, placed second at the Thomas Jefferson level. Previously, the Anchor Watch placed in competition in 1998, 1997, 1991 and 1989. The Navy-wide contest recognizes superior publications for design, content and photography.
