Master Chief Ingles grew up in Baltimore, MD, Orlando, FL, and Libertyville, IL. He enlisted in the United States Navy in September 2000, attending Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, IL. Following submarine school in Groton, CT., he reported to his first command; USS WEST VIRGINIA (SSBN 736) (BLUE) in March of 2002 and completed nine strategic deterrent patrols in the Atlantic AOR. During his time onboard he advanced from E2 to E6 and departed as the Leading Petty Officer of Communications Division. During his tenure, 736 (B) was awarded the Battle Efficiency “E”, and four Green Communications “C” awards. His individual awards include three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals. Because of his success onboard as the first Radio Supervisor to deploy with the new Common Submarine Radio Room, he was requested for follow on duty at the NAVAL UNDERSEA WARFARE CENTER, Newport, RI. In January 2008. During his short two year tour he was the single point enlisted advisor to the research, development and testing of all future submarine communications advancements, EKMS manager, command fitness leader and fleet liaison. Shortly before transferring, he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal.

In June of 2010, Chief Ingles reported to USS MAINE (SSBN 741) (GOLD). He completed six strategic deterrent patrols in the Pacific AOR as the Navigation/Operations Department Enlisted Advisor, Communications and LAN divisions Leading Chief Petty Officer, and the ship’s EKMS manager. During his tour he was awarded his second Navy Commendation Medal.

In 2013, Chief Ingles reported to The JOINT COMMUNICATIONS UNIT (JCU) at FT. Bragg, NC. There he completed the rigorous 6-month Special Operations Radio Operators Course, several Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape courses, various professional driving courses, US Army Airborne school, and others. During his 6-year tour, he completed 4 combat deployments with both Expeditionary Communications Squadron A-Troop and D-Troop. He served as a Communicator, Detachment Chief, and Troop Sergeant Major. He was promoted twice, to Senior Chief and then Master Chief. His personal awards include the Joint Service Achievement Medal, Joint Service Commendations Medal, and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal. Upon transferring from JCU in 2019, he reported as the Senior Enlisted Leader at the Naval Communications Security Management System located on Joint Base Andrews, MD.
