In alignment with Sailor 2025 and Transformation, the Navy is changing how it provides human resource (HR) support to Sailors including meeting their personnel, pay and career management needs.
In an effort to get the BUPERS Millington/Navy Personnel Command workforce to look at its Sailor-facing processes and reduce administrative burden, Commander, Navy Personnel Command, RADM Hughes, announced the “25 in 2” initiative. Essentially, 25 in 2 means a 25% reduction in processing time within two months, but the reality of the process is for there to be as much of a reduction as possible in as timely a manner as possible.
RADM Hughes has empowered our business process owners to make the necessary changes to reduce timelines, administrative burden and make it better for both the customer and the workforce.
