19 March 2020:     Correspondence to Board President due (see sample Letter to
Board (LTB))
30 March 2020:   Board convene date

Steps to Apply:
Step 1:  Read the instructions and requirements posted to the right.

by your commanding officer (CO) per Navy Correspondence Manual, SECNAV M-5216.5.
Step 3:  Send the completed application package (to include all enclosures) to and

  The subject line must read:

To confirm your package was received call 1-866-827-5672.
Application Notes:
- The only required enclosure for all applicants is the IMR status from BOL.  Certain
communities have additional medical requirements (see Requirements Document)
that are required for those applicants.
- Letters of recommendation are encouraged, but not required.  Limit of four.
The remainder of the enclosures are only necessary if they are missing from your
official navy record (see OMPF and ODC on BOL).
There is no longer a need to complete a separate BOL application.
Correspondence to the Board President via LTB is only if something changes between
29 February and 19 March.  For example, a FITREP or award that was received
between those dates qualifies, but this deadline does NOT mean you can submit
your application enclosures after the application deadline.
The following year groups are open for applications without a waiver request:
1117: 2009 and junior
1127: 2009 and junior
1137: 2006 and junior
1147: 2006, 2008, 2011 and junior

1527: 2008 and junior
3107: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014 and junior
If your year group is not listed in a community in which you are applying, you can still apply but you fall under a waiver request category.  Year Group waiver requests will be automatic (no additional steps for the applicant) and considered on a case-by-case basis.  BUPERS-35 is the final adjudication on this waiver request.
Board Results will be posted on this website as soon as they are approved.  Approval time is typically within four weeks after the board adjourns.  Results are NOT released by message traffic.
