Notes from the Detailer:
There are several new opportunities available at Maritime Prepositioning Force Utility Boat shops. Surface Engineering 1st and 2nd Class Petty Officers can apply for these opportunities at the following NOSCs:
NOSC Chicago NOSC Baltimore
NOSC Buffalo NOSC Tampa
Members assigned to these units will attend both the 2 week MPFUB Operator and 2 week MPFUB Engineer Courses (typically provided at unit location).
Personnel assigned to these units will also have the opportunity to earn their Small Craft Pin. In addition at least one member of the unit will earn the 9517 3MC NEC. Units can assign additional members this NEC based on course and travel availabilities.
If you are interested in the above opportunity, are due to roll to shore duty and you are within 12 months of your PRD, please give me a call.

DC Community: Current opportunities on shore are SWOS, NOSC and Recruit Company Commanders. Multiple Platforms are available for sea duty to include LPD, LHD, DDG and CG Allowing you the perfect opportunity to Lead at SEA and accomplish critical Damage Control qualifications as well as Ballast Control, EPCC, EOOW.
EM Community: Currently there are multiple platforms for all pay grades. For E-5's there are CORIVRON billets available in Little Creek and Portsmouth, VA and San Diego, CA. Shore duty is very limited for all pay grades and CHIEFS are highly encouraged to inquire about the challenging CMD CHIEF jobs. Do not limit your opportunities, submit duty preferences covering diverse areas.
