COMMANDER TIMOTHY L. CAMPBELL

Originally from Houston, Texas, Commander Campbell graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in May 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He was designated a Naval Aviator in April 2006 and completed fleet replacement training with VP-30 in June of 2007.
CDR Campbell’s operational tours include with the VP-9 “World Famous Golden Eagles” at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii as NFO Training Officer; USS George washington (CVN 73) in Yokosuka, Japan as Operations Administration Officer; and the VP-4 “Skinny Dragons” in Whidbey Island, Washington as the Operations Officer. CDR Campbell has deployments to FIFTH, and SEVENTH Fleets in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.
His shore tours include with the Commander, Task Force 72 as a Pacific Plans Officer and Maritime Fleet Coordination Center – Air Assistant Officer in Charge; Navy Personnel Command in Millington, Tennessee where he served as the Washington D.C. Placement Officer, and Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Weapons School as the Weapons and Tactics Department Head where he completed the transition from the P-3C “Orion” to the P-8A “Poseidon”.
In April 2020, CDR Campbell reported to the VP-16 “War Eagles”, and assumed the duties as Executive Officer.
Personal decorations include the Air Medal Strike/Flight (3), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5) and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2) in addition to various personal and unit awards.
