Command Master Chief Michele L. Sullivan is originally from N.J. and was raised in Fla.  She is a Titusville High School graduate.  She enlisted in the Navy in September 1998 and attended recruit training in Great Lakes, Ill.  She attended Operations Specialist “A” School in Dam Neck, Va. in February 1999. 

Her first Sea tour was on board USS Spruance (DD 963), home ported out of Jacksonville, Fla., where she completed a Mediterranean deployment and a Standing Naval Force Mediterranean (SNFM) deployment in support of NATO Operations. 
In August of 2003, after completing her sea tour, Sullivan transferred to NAS Whiting Field, Pensacola, Fla. where she worked as a Security Patrolman for the base Security Department. While attached to NAS Whiting Field, she was selected for an IA to Guantanamo Bay Cuba, where she conducted detainee operations in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.  
In May 2007, she was stationed at Carrier Air Wing 5, NAF Atsugi Japan, where she advanced to Chief Petty Officer and served as the Operations Department Leading Chief Petty Officer and Strike Group AIC.   Additionally, she completed a tour at Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka Japan where she served as the Port Operations Leading Chief Petty Officer in support of FDNF Operations.
In March 2010, she reported to TACRON TWO ONE, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek, Virginia Beach, Va. as the Senior Enlisted Leader and Air Intercept Controller. While there she deployed on board USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), and supported humanitarian efforts in Haiti and Operation ODYSSEY DAWN.
In April 2013, Sullivan reported to the Center for Surface Combat Systems Detachment Norfolk as the Senior Enlisted Leader and instructor, delivering surface ship combat systems training to the waterfront.  During her tour, she was selected for the Command Senior Chief program and advanced to Command Master Chief.  
In July 2016, she completed the Command Master Chief & Chief of the Boat course in Newport Rhode Island and reported aboard the VFA-83 “Rampagers” as the Command Master Chief in August of 2016.
CMDCM Sullivan has earned an Associate’s Degree with Columbia College and is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy.  Master Chief Sullivan’s personal awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal (2 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5 awards), and other various service and campaign medals.
