FOR ALL JALIS ISSUES, CONTACT NESD SO A TROUBLE TICKET CAN BE GENERATED.
 
NESD WILL CONTACT NALO TO CORRECT THE ISSUE.
 
PLEASE INCLUDE USER NAME, DATABASE (NALO, CFAF, CTF-53, CTF-63), UIC, AND PRD IN THE DETAILED DESCRIPTION

1. How do I obtain a JALIS Account?
First you will have to attend a JALIS Training Class. Fill out a User Access Form (UAF) and scan or fax the approved form and your certificate of completion from the JALIS Training class to: Fax: COMM: (504) 678-5826/5811 DSN: 678-5826/5811. 

2. How do I reset my JALIS password?
Submit a trouble ticket with Navy 311 who will then notify NALO of the request.

3. How do I know when there will be JALIS Scheduled Maintenance?
You will know when there is JALIS Scheduled Maintenance by going to the JALIS Homepage. There will be a banner informing you when the maintenance will be conducted and an approximate time of completion. As well as the JALIS Status Link on the JALIS page and the Main NALO Page.

4. How do I obtain a Dashboard Account?
To obtain a Dashboard account you will need to speak with one of our Training Department Representatives through email, M_NWOR_NALO_TRAINING@navy.milor by phone: COMM: (504) 678-7207, or DSN: 678-7207. A User Access Form will have to be filled out.

5. How do I reset my Dashboard Account password?
Submit a trouble ticket with Navy 311 who will then notify NALO of the request.

6. How do I delete my Java cache? 

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Go to JALIS.
    1. https://prod.jalis.mil/
  3. Click on “JALIS LOGON”.
  4. Select your non-email certificate.
  5. Right click the JAVA Icon.
    1. Bottom right hand of screen.
    2. Looks like coffee mug.
  6. Click “Open Control Panel”.
  7. Under “General” Tab
  8. Click “Settings”
  9. Click “Delete Files…”
  10. Make sure that both are checked:
    1. Applications and Applets
    2. Trace and Log Files
  11. Click “OK”
  12. Click “OK”
  13. Click “OK”
  14. Close all Internet Browsers.
  15. Try logging into JALIS again.

7. How do I reset my certificates?

 

 

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Go to “Tools” at the top of your internet browser.
  3. Go to “Internet Options”.
  4. Click on the “Content Tab”.
  5. Look for the “Certificates” block.
    1. In the middle of the “Internet Options” window.
  6. Click “Certificates…”
  7. Select all of your certificates.
    1. This can be done by holding the “Ctrl” key on your keyboard and clicking on each certificate.
  8. Click “Remove”.
  9. When the pop-up box comes up, click “Yes”.
  10. Click “Close”.
  11. Click “OK”.
    1. This will close the “Internet Options” window.
  12. Close all Internet Browsers.
  13. Right click the “Activeclient Agent – Smart Card Inserted” icon.
    1. Located at the bottom right hand of your screen. Looks like a CAC Card Reader.
  14. Click “Open”.
  15. Go to “Tools” at the top of your Activclient window.
  16. Go to “Advanced”.
    1. Don’t Click!
  17. Click “Make Certificates Available To Windows”.
  18. When the pop-up box comes up, click “OK”.
  19. Close the Activeclient Window.
  20. Re-open Internet Explorer.

     

  21. Open Microsoft Outlook.
  22. Go to “Tools” at the top of your Microsoft Outlook.
  23. Go to “Options”.
  24. Go to the “Security” tab.
  25. Look for “Digital IDs (Certificates)”.
  26. Click “Publish to GAL…”
  27. When the pop-up box comes up, click “OK”.
    1. It might ask you for your CAC Card pin after clicking “OK”.
  28. When the next pop-up box comes up, click “OK”.
  29. Click “OK” in the Options window.
